Israeli airstrikes continue, as do Hezbollah’s attacks on Israeli army positions, announcing direct hits.

In a speech today, Hezbollah's Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, declared that the possibility of an incursion into Galilee remains on the table in the event of any war imposed on Lebanon.

Nasrallah revealed, "We have information that the enemy is conducting maneuvers in Cyprus in Cypriot areas and airports. We informed the authorities in Lebanon about this during the Cypriot President's visit, who denied it despite it being 100% true. Therefore, the Cypriot government must know that opening Cypriot airports and bases for war against Lebanon means it is part of the war, and we will deal with it on that basis."

Regionally, internal Israeli turmoil persists, beginning with protests calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and not ending with disputes between him and Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

On the ground, the Israeli army announced that its forces have paid a high price and are facing a significant challenge in defeating Hamas fighters in Rafah. They reported tunnels in almost every house in Rafah, making the battles arduous.

Meanwhile, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani discussed with Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh efforts to halt the war that Israel is waging on Gaza. Sheikh Mohammed urged Haniyeh to "make concessions" regarding the reviews presented by the movement last week on the Israeli proposal concerning hostages and a ceasefire.

Egypt has denied reports that it agreed to participate with an Arab force to control the Gaza Strip's crossings.

Furthermore, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights stated that Israeli forces may have repeatedly violated fundamental principles of the laws of war by failing to distinguish between civilians and combatants in their military campaign on Gaza.

Internationally, U.S. officials announced that the Biden administration has postponed the sale of a fleet of F-15 fighter jets to Israel, despite congressional approval of the deal last month.

In a separate context, the European Commission criticized France for increasing its debt, in a stinging rebuke during an early election campaign where President Emmanuel Macron faces strong challenges from the far right and the left.

During a visit to North Korea, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that a "new foundational document" for relations between Moscow and Pyongyang is "ready." North Korean leader Kim Jong Un confirmed that relations between the two countries are entering a "new era of prosperity," pledging to enhance the "burning friendship" between the two nations.

Meanwhile, Ukraine announced that it will start working on a second peace summit and may invite Russia.

Economically, oil prices have risen to a seven-week high as optimism over summer demand and fears of escalating conflicts outweighed a report indicating an unexpected increase in U.S. crude inventories.
