Israeli Police Arrest Activist Twins

Israeli police detained two prominent Palestinian activists for several hours on Sunday. Mona el-Kurd was taken into custody on Sunday morning from her home in East Jerusalem. Police also left a summons for her twin brother, Mohammed, who later turned himself in. Both were later released and returned home.

US, UK Urge Yemen Peace

US and British diplomats urged Houthi forces to end attacks in northern Yemen after at least 17 people were killed in an explosion which the Yemeni government blamed on a Houthi missile strike. The Houthi group later said it had only struck a military camp in Marib City on Saturday and welcomed an investigation.

Oil Eases on Iran Concern

As investors waited for the outcome of this week's talks between Iran and world powers over a nuclear deal that is expected to boost crude supplies, oil pulled back after hitting a two-year high above $72 a barrel. Demand is rising in Europe and the US as COVID-19 restrictions ease.

Saudi Aramco Bond Sale

As Saudi Aramco seeks cash to help fund large commitments, the company has hired advisers to arrange its inaugural issuance of US dollar-denominated Islamic bonds, or sukuk. More than 10 banks have been mandated to organize investor calls from Monday, Aramco said in a statement.
