Taiwan Train Crash Probe 
Prosecutors in Taiwan investigated the owner of a truck that rolled onto a rail track and caused the country’s worst train disaster in decades, killing 50 people and injuring more than 170 others. The Taiwan Railways Administration said the express train, carrying 494 people, hit the construction truck that slid down a hillside above the tracks on Friday.

 

French Drug Lord Arrested
Dubai Police arrested French drug lord Moufide Bouchibi, for being involved in drug trafficking and smuggling operations across Europe. Bouchibi had been traveling under a false identity and been on the run for 10 years. A team of officers was tasked to share information about Bouchibi with French authorities and Interpol.

 

'Ever Given' Crisis Losses
Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Osama Rabie, said Egypt may seek over $1 billion in damages for helping to clear the 'Ever Given' mega-ship from the Suez Canal. Rabie said the figure is based on canal revenue losses, the cost of equipment and machinery, and the manpower hours for the 800 rescuers who freed the ship.

 

Greece Accuses Turkey... 
Greece accused Turkey of trying to provoke it by attempting to push boats carrying migrants into Greek waters. Greek Migration Minister, Notis Mitarachi, said the Greek coastguard had reported multiple incidents on Friday of the Turkish coastguard and navy, accompanying migrant boats to the border of Europe.
